INCEPTA MARE CERTIFICATION BUREAU

IMCB is a non-profitable third-party certification body. The Company is registered in Piraeus, Greece in 2022.

The Company is an independent legal entity acting as a Certification Body in the domain of recreational craft certification in accordance with the European and Hellenic national Legislation.

With more of a decade of experience in Naval Surveys, Design, Architect Studies and Consultancy in Recreational Crafts. The IMCB technical personnel is sufficient to cover its operations related to the certification scheme and to the applicable standards.

We, IMCB, are dedicated to conducting all of our operations in a safe, responsible, impartial and ethical way

QUALITY POLICY

To ensure that all stakeholders and other interested parties have justified confidence in the certification and compliance services provided and maintained by IMCB. To this end IMCB maintains a transparent structure that is focused on implementing certification and compliance services in all relevant sectors, both private and public for RCD, as well as other areas that IMCB chooses to operate in.

MANAGEMENT OF IMPARTIALITY

Being impartial, and being perceived to be impartial, is necessary for a certification body to deliver certification that provides confidence. All IMCB internal and external personnel are aware of the need for impartiality. IMCB requires all working staff, contractors engaged in evaluation and personnel involved in certification to make commitment to the impartiality and confidentiality of the work they are engaged in. IMCB takes responsibility to adopt proper corrective actions where defaults are reported. IMCB has developed control measures for the identified risks to impartiality, so as to eliminate or minimize such threats.

NON-DISCRIMINATORY CONDITIONS

The policies and procedures, under which IMCB operates and the administration of them, are no discriminatory and the policies, procedures and administrations in relevance are implemented in a non-discriminatory way. Procedures in conflict with the requirements of the approved specifications are not to be applied to prevent the applicant’s application for certification. IMCB make its services accessible to all applicants, with no undue financial or other conditions attached. Access to the certification process shall not be conditional upon the size of the client or membership of any association or group, or upon the number of certifications already issued. INCEPTA shall confine its requirements, evaluation, review, decision and surveillance (if any) to those matters specifically related to the scope of certification.

CONFIDENTIALITY

Management personnel, personnel acting on the IMCB behalf, contractors and people temporarily employed, shall be required to be committed to keep confidential all information about IMCB and clients and sign on the Confidentiality and Impartiality Commitments. All information about the client as obtained from the service process shall be kept strictly confidential, and information from sources other than the client shall be treated as confidential. Unless otherwise required by the laws or by the administrations, without the written consent of the client, IMCB and all its personnel shall not disclose the confidential information to any organization or individual.
